A Bay Area Backyard Wedding | Intimate Wedding Photographer

These two were originally getting married in Oakland at the Terrace Room (love that local venue) in November but like many of my 2020 couples - they’ve had to reimagine and come up with a plan B. Luckily, the groom’s parents had a home that would be a perfect backdrop for their newly laid plans.

These two were so special and so kind - and I know I say that about my couples. But this - this one sorta hit home because it was at the getting ready part that, in looking at the bride as she was getting her makeup done by her soon to be brother-in-law, I had to take a double take and also take a quick phone photo to send to my family - because she, all of a sudden was my sister’s doppelgänger. It was at that moment that I imagined this as my sister’s wedding and it really hit me as I tried to hold back tears!

Congratulations to these wonderful people and I’m so glad they decided to still do something on their date now and hope that by November of this year, 2021 - we could all hug and gather and celebrate together once more.
