A wedding at The Garden Walnut Creek
A couple of interesting things about this wedding. While Marie was a referral from my past brides (THANK YOU), we also had a mutual friend that I only found out about way after I had photographed her wedding day. And for this couple, it seems Walnut Creek is their go to location for all the things.
She got her dress at Anthropologie in Walnut Creek, had their rehearsal dinner in Walnut Creek and even their engagement session (which I know I need to post) - and of course.. their wedding too.
This was my first time photographing a wedding at the Garden Walnut Creek and it was lovely. Such a great gem of a venue. One of the great things about this venue is - it’s all in one place. The beautiful outdoor ceremony site is just around the corner with elements of brick and archways and definitely that garden vibe. The cocktail hour is in this terraced area inside the venue and then the dinner reception inside in the ground floor area. The staff was also wonderful and the food was delicious - I mean after all they are best known for the restaurant too - Prime Rib at the Garden.
I also got to work with Nate again from Caliber DJs - he’s one of the best DJs around for weddings and other events. When the couple had their consult with Nate, the groom found out they had a connection - both having ties to Chi town and that sealed the deal.
Marie’s dress (from bhldn) was just - stunning and absolutely made for, and having a reception dress was just chef’s kiss. It was a great little dress, better to dance in for the reception portion and oh did she dance, they all did. It was FUN!
