A Lovely Intimate Wedding Reception At Angelica’s
We had been emailing for awhile after their initial inquiry about their reception in 2024, since they had already gotten married back in 2020.
They wanted some portraits in a garden setting so Gamble Gardens was a perfect location (that was within 15 mins of their venue) for some portraits and just hanging out for a bit before their official start of their wedding reception at Angelica’s in Redwood City.
Since the bride has a design background and had a lovely planner who is a dear friend, the aesthetic was just wonderful and dreamy - and most importantly, stress-free!
(one very interesting thing about this wedding was — and a later wedding of another couple, I had recognized a guest from this wedding at that wedding and wow small world! also in writing this - I photographed a bat mitzvah and there was a teen I totally recognized from somewhere and I just thought, oh maybe they went to school or some camp with my daughter … but no, it turns out, I second shot her sister’s wedding last year! amazing that she even remembered me and it was so sweet to see her and see her family again. really small world.. I really LOVE those connections and the feeling of community in those little glimmers..)
If you were looking for a garden-esque reception for your intimate wedding reception, then look no further than Angelica’s. They offered an enclosed patio garden-like space as well as a bar and an indoor dining area for a more elevated sit down experience. The staff was also wonderful to work with. While this wedding didn’t hold their ceremony at Angelica’s, you can hold an intimate wedding ceremony in the enclosed space - check out their website and social media pages for more info!
